The Department of Mathematics at National Skills University Islamabad, Pakistan plays a pivotal role as it forms basic scaffolds for all technological and Engineering disciplines. Our foremost aim is to educate the learners with mathematical skills, apprehension and attitudes required to master emerging sciences and to excel in their careers for the uplift of the nation. In the current scenario Science and Technology are considered to be the linchpin of Economy and Mathematical Sciences have attained utmost importance on grassroot level of all professional training and Degree Programs. The Mathematics Department aims to provide basic Mathematical foundations to Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Information Engineering Technology students along with a dynamic Bachelor’s Program in Mathematics.

Keeping in view its due significance Mathematics Department has designed BS Mathematics Program to facilitate and promote skilled education in future. The aforementioned program will develop a broadened and futuristic outlook in our students and will enable them to meet the challenges of the 21st Century with more logical and problem-solving techniques; learned through mathematical knowledge. We shall adopt on evolutionary and growing strategy to counterfeit the contemporary advancement and even excel in the global competitive environment.

In many fields such as Social Sciences, Engineering, IT, Medicine, Management and Natural sciences, etc. Mathematics is regarded as a significant tool. It is employed for solving business problems, scientific problems, and economic problems. Currently, there is a high demand for data scientists as they are complex data solvers hence, they are mathematicians. Technology and mathematics go hand-in-hand and as technology advances, it requires more specialists. Space programs, astronomy, IT programs all use numbers. Hence, mathematicians work with other departments to establish the infrastructure. In many parts of the world, mathematicians are working in high sensitivity projects. The investment banking is sector is also expanding and they hire experts of Mathematics to analyze the trends in the market. Mathematicians also have great scope in Biomedical and Manufacturing industries.
